Kendal and Marnie's Party

On Saturday, we celebrated Kendal's 3rd and Marnie's 30th birthdays at Mandy and Paul's house in Barberton, OH (near Akron). The party was held in their garage, which is very huge. Unlike past celebrations for Kendal, I knew all the guests and their connections to the birthday girls. (There was one exception. Mandy and Paul's neighbors made a cameo visit as the party was winding down.) The food consisted of pulled pork, spicy lemon chicken, sloppy Joes, cheesy potatoes, and fruit salad, among other things. Kendal was served hot dogs. We enjoyed two birthday cakes, cheesecake, cookies, and Rice Krispie Treats for dessert.

Before dessert, however, we watched Kendal and Marnie open up presents. The most memorable present for Kendal came from her Uncle Tim in the form of "legal" snake fireworks. Kendal insisted on having all of them lit before the party was over. (The neighbors brought over sparklers. Hopefully, they made it home to Michigan.) Due to the rainy weather, they didn't work as well as expected, but at least, no one was injured. (Kendal and Lilly (Mandy and Paul's Cocker Spaniel) approached the fireworks, but they avoided danger.) We enjoyed visiting with the party guests. In closing, this was a party to remember.
